Our Process – Putting why before how...

We have created a structure that allows us to work with you until the why of your planning is completely accessible.  We are completely aware that you can find the same price quotes from other benefit consultants.  With that in mind, we refuse to just provide our clients with numbers on the approaching renewal/plan review.  We plan, with a purpose and our client’s business philosophies in mind.  As our individual wealth management team believes, planning isn’t simply a single point in time that occurs at the beginning of our relationship- it is a moving process.

In addition our business model allows us to stay front and center when daily life gets in the way of putting various pieces of planning in place.  We achieve forward motion, staying with you until every detail has been addressed.

Clarity as the only agenda

Before our clients became our clients, they most likely had relationships with other consultants in some of the traditional disciplines:  group insurance, qualified retirement plans, ancillary benefits.  Our conversation begins with an understanding of your business – what’s working and what challenges exist?  We also look at your current package and investigate why you made that choice.  We then make sure that your entire benefit package is integrated with your goals of maximizing your business and bettering the whole employee experience.

Through the ups and downs of everyday business events, the client’s focus may change and/or adjust.  Dangers arise when the business owner may not have the tools, time or resources to explore outside of the everyday solutions to their benefit dilemmas. We deliver those tools along with keeping an eye on planning.  With respect to a business-owners’ busy schedule we try separate the planning conversations from the solution conversations with a clear process and an advisory structure.  The business owner then knows that the only agenda on the table during the why phase of our interactions is their need for clarity around a particular topic.

 
Fiduciary Excellence Consulting

A process that involves discovery, benchmarking and gap analysis in the areas of Global Fiduciary Standards of Excellence. Our process will:

  • Articulate the basis for, and benefits of, fiduciary standards of excellence
  • Identify when an individual or organization may be deemed to have a fiduciary status
  • Identify the standards that require fiduciaries to prudently manage investment decisions
  • Demonstrate and apply the practices that define a prudent investment process
  • Help fiduciaries strengthen their polices and procedures
  • Provide a check of prudent practices to help benchmark current status, prioritize work and measure progress
